There is NO WAY Joe could get the conditioning he would need in 6 weeks. He would run out of gas and get KOd. I don't think people appreciate the level of conditioning required to fight 12 rounds.

How is this a foregone conclusion? How do you know what condition Joe is in at this time?

        The answer: You don't.

An old retired sitting on the couch Joe is better than the Froch that got dusted off against Groves.

after several years of coke binges and the like, you tend to doubt it.

i will say this, doe. froch looked old in his last fight. prime calzaghe beats any version of froch, but a faded version may still be too fast for cement legged 2013 froch.

froch boxed like his feet were stuck in the mud against groves.

He would beat him back when he was active. But if he made a comeback and faced Froch now he would be stopped.

I'm a big fan of both, but even an old Joe Cal would put a beating on Carl. It would be a 12 round beating with Joe swinging the hammer.

Joe Calzaghe is one of the greatest fighters to ever live. He is 46-0 for a reason.

I think he'll have a chance if he trains hard. SD or UD

lol.. Calzaghe would get his ass beat at this stage.

5 years is a hell of a long time in boxing, will be 5 years since he's taken a punch

Nah...Joe would have to take a couple of tune ups before beating any world class fighter from '68-'75 imo....Froch would most likely beat Joe's ass atm...a major part of Joe's game is built around his better than average reflexes....he's known to think his way through fights by making the necessary adjustments....you can't be on the couch and on the coke for such a long time and expect to be able to pull those tools outta the box.....not happening!!!

Froch stops him now imo....years ago Joe wins easily imo
