Could Joe Calzaghe beat Carl Froch now?

    Serious question guys:

Could Calzaghe come back right now and beat Froch?

I don't mean after a tuneup, I mean right now after one 6 week or so training camp.

I know it would have to be at 175 lbs but I think Joe could.

    What are your thoughts?

    Vote, discuss, thanks.

No way Froch UD's Calzaghe. He could come back at age 50 and have a sick enough work rate to beat Froch.

        It's not that easy.

        Froch by stoppage.

Joe C has been out of the game over 5 years. He's in his 40's. 6 weeks training after 5 years out is a high wall to climb.

Froch by UD if Joe doesn't quit on his stool.

Agreed. But who knows, I'd still like to see Joe try!

              Calzaghe's chin is solid.

Froch would never out work Joe.

              Clear UD for Joe still.

Froch is a world class fighter but Joe is/was special.

Joe had a level of natural stamina.

I still think he'd beat him. Pretty wide too.

                    Calzaghe all day.

Workrate was much like froch's stayed strong for all 12rnds. Adaptability, movement, speed. All on Joe's favor.

Only thing Froch has which joe doesn't is Power, but this has never effect Joe before. His chin is most likely better than Joe's.

Would need longer than 6 weeks though, prob need about 12 weeks alone to get fit again.
