Seems like a ploy to me just to regain some ground in terms of the purse for the rematch.

I do believe Froch is a warrior and the truth is his legacy is ruined if he doesn't fight Groves again.

I doubt Ward would do the same numbers at all and he is just too slick a boxer for Froch who relies on physicality and pressure. At least with Groves he has a chance to pull a hungry proud young fighter into his kind of fight.

Sorry Carl, but you're deluded. EVERYBODY saw what Groves did. I was pulling for you, as I'd been telling everyone it was a mismatch. But I was wrong and for the first time - now that you have a lot to lose - you are ducking. Everyone saw you being beaten up and was given a gift. Ah come on dude, most of Froch's resume came from the super 6, a risky fight against Bute in his backyard and him begging for a rematch from Kessler.

I don't remember him coming out and saying he'd rematch Dirrell or Johnson in his close matches..
