It's time to put this old head out to pasture. He's had a good run.

I have no idea why they let totally shot Baldomir fight an hungry young kid. Fans should be demanding new faces. How about Alvarez fighting Lara, Angulo, Kirkland, etc. If Cotto/Canelo doesn't happen, why let it bunch up your panties in knots?

Cotto isn't losing to Canelo Alvarez. Two different classes of fighters.
Are you talking about beating Rhodes and Trout? Good job, spent almost his whole career at the weight and he has one more top 10 win at 154 than Cotto.
And gift against Clottey?Blocking punches wins rounds now over actually punching, that's why you had Murray beating Martinez.
See how well he draws when he loses twice in a row to fights he had 10 years of age advantage on.
Canelo at 154: Trout
I don't give Canelo any credit for beating Baldomir, Matthew Hatton, Josesito Lopez, Alfonso Gomez, Ryan Rhodes and a fossilized Mosely...
Delvin Rodriguez is actually a much better win than any of the Canelo wins I just mentioned; especially when you consider that he was coming off wins over Freddy Hernandez (by stoppage) and Pawel Wolak. A shot Mayorga is also a better win.
Canelo "beat" Trout but it was a close fight, I actually scored that one for Trout (114-113). Trout probably could have beat him comfortably if he hadn't been cheated by the open scoring in the first 4 rounds, which caused him to pursue a more aggressive style (that benefited Canelo).Last edited by BafanaBafana; 11-29-2013, 05:10 PM.

Also, Trout was pumping a weak jab all night and hitting air.
He was outclassed by Nelo on that night.

Canelo better beg Cotto for the fight, otherwise he's getting embarrassed by Lara, Molina, Angulo, Andrade, etc. The guy is about to get exposed (badly) so he better get the money fights now while he still can.
