    Floyd Mayweather/Sergio Martinez likely

Miguel Cotto from all indications will accept Canelo's offer. Especially with Arum and company only being able to offer him half at best. Arum is somewhat of a risk for Cotto, Bob is a little grimey with major PPV revenue distributions. We STILL don't know the PPV numbers from his last 3 fights, that should tell you the "upside" he always talks about is BS. It would be Ludicrous to turn down 12-15 million to fight Martinez in a soccer stadium or anywhere else. Its ridiculous to accept 50,000 fans as anything more then window dressing. Given the financial situation in Argentina, Sergio's live gates generate a sum analogous to a Syracuse mens basketball home games. Thats just not enough money, New York is the soviet union when it comes to taxing boxing earnings, and the fight would not draw in vegas. So in a very logical decision, Cotto will take Canelo. Martinez is not afraid of GGG, perhaps annoyed, but not shook. The reason he will pass on that fight is $. GGG is a surefire weak paycheck, Martinez should risk his prime position for a Fanboy hype job? Why? because Max Kellerman crowned him?? Because he is adept at knocking out Gatekeepers?? No, the best, more lucrative, lowest risk fight for Sergio is Floyd. No doubt, he will get that booty smoked, and lose his title, but he will make 15 mil, he will be in the biggest fight of the year, Floyd's Style will spar him wear and tear allowing him to take a 2nd fight in 2014, allowing him to earn. Sergio Martinez WILL fight Mayweather in May. Everything sets up for it. Book it

Would be good if that happened.

Floyd wouldn't get credit but it still would be a good fight.

        It won't happen though.

He'd get far more credit for Martinez than he ever would for say........ a fighter like Amir Khan.

Khan is a joke. A fake elite athlete, and the PPV money that people attach to him is overblown. Khan is in the lower tier of this group of younger fighters.

              Obviously.

He still won't get credit for beating Martinez though.

Floyd will not fight Sergio. That's a guarantee.

If Floyd signed off on a Sergio fight, whether it be at 154 or 160, I'd give him full credit.

That's the thing, a fight that no one could ***** about, he won't take.

He'll always take the fights that people have room to ***** about.
