Yeah GBP should start looking for a more worldly approach. I mean look at GYM in Montreal. They have quite a little money making machine there with exciting fun fighters and enthusiastic crowds.

One thing you cannot knock the Quebec cards for is lack of fun. Some mismatches mixed with good fights. As for quality shows they are up there. The crowds leave happy. HBO loves to show up there now also.

    • These studio analysts are so damn biased for Bellew it's almost hard to take anything they say seriously. It's like they're trying to convince themselves Tony has a chance.

It doesn't look good when Stevenson is faster, better in every department and hits harder than all of them combined.

Hes useless at fighting southpaws at the best of times.
I'm not saying he's going to win. I would give him no more than a 25% chance (up from 20% after the weigh in) but Haye got decked by a Super Middleweight but was never in proper trouble (stunned wise) against Klitschko - who outweighed him by a similar weight difference that Hagler had over Azumah Nelson.

An early career decking can be a blessing & often down to balance & timing.

Bellew has a good chance as long as he can avoid Stevenson's left swings

The fans make an incredible atmosphere and these guys come to scrap. So far tonight, nothing but KO's since I tuned in to the undercard and two big punchers for the co-main events.

It seems like a very smart move to team up with Canadian fight promoters, they have dedicated fans who fill arenas for their guys. That's something you don't always get in the USA unfortunately. Pascal-Bute will be electric.

So when does the broadcast start? I hope it won't be too late, it's 3 30 AM over here already and I'm semiconscious

Bellew is very wide himself. He's gonna need an almost perfect fight to win IMO.

Another 45 minutes until HBO replays Pacquiao-Rios which went 12, so I'm thinking at least another hour and half until Kovalev-Sillakh gets going. You can do it!

Kovalev never passed 8 rounds because he's also smart (and he carries opponents, sometimes).
