No, he didn't. When Khan got stopped by Garcia, Froch said if it was him he would retire, citing his age. He went on to clarify that as young as Khan was, he didn't think the bout was the end for him.
Amir Khan is an idiot. He will probably end up retired while Froch is still a relevant fighter.

Conserve energy for what? It's not like he was under any constant pressure. It wasn't until round 6 when Froch started pressuring him. Beyond the first knock down, Froch took the remainder of the shots well. Groves actually looked more beaten after the fight than Froch did if we look at their faces. If they fought again, we'd have the same result. This time Froch would simply walk him down.

Conserve his energy by not getting in to brawls and getting to brave, which Groves did a few times thus tiring himself out. There was no reason for Groves to fight Frochs fight when he could have carried on jabbing him and poppin that right. He got carried away at times, even though he came out on top of the exchanges, he was tiring. I put it down to lack of experience

Groves is a ginger with pale skin, he marks very easily, Forch looked a mess, and he hasn't taken a beating like that in a long time, that right hand had him buzzed throughout the fight and he was rocked by a jab in round 3

Groves even hit him with a double right, which before the fight Froch said wasn't possible

Groves should have the rematch, but I don't think he'll win, nor do I think he would have won this one, but the BS stoppage deprived him of the chance to try (and maybe Froch of an unambiguous victory).

I'd say Froch has another year or two 4 or 5 fights max.

Yah Froch got some'em left in him. If it wasn't for being buzzed for 5-6 rounds off that devastating shot in the 1st, he may have beat Groves more handily. Was impressive how he fought back and turned the tide but who knows, Groves may have had the heart and determination to pull through to the end and get the W. Would like the rematch as well but cant help but agree that Froch will have an easier time 2nd go aorund. No disrespect to Groves, loved what he did and feel horrible for him but Froch started having his way with him from the 6th-7th and on. And i DONT like Froch to be defending him. I think he's a fassey.
