On my all time p4p favorite top 10. Sad to see him at this stage in his career. I was happy when he "kinda retired" cause i don't want to see him getting outclassed by these guys who could never hang with the real Sugar Shane

He's 42, Drama Leading Up To The Fight, Didn't Want To Fight At '54
AND I don't think he had a good, focused training camp. I heard him months ago say he doesn't really want to fight at 154, but for $1.5M, he'll do it but then he was going back to fight regularly at '47. Then the drama and head games about getting paid, flying to the other side of the world, to pull out of training days before the original planned date, because they hadn't paid you the balance, flying back to the states saying the fight was off, then it was on again and will be held in Vegas, THEN the fight is scheduled for another date and agreed to fight in Australia, so you fly around the world again to pick up where you left off in camp, all at the seasoned age of 42... I don't believe his head was in the game, I'm not saying he still wouldn't have lost the fight, but you can't have those kinds of distractions, those kind of on again, off again, on agains, and bring your A-game. He never quit with Mayweather or Pacquiao... I really think his head was not in the game. It's an easy gig to pop back and forth from Big Bear to Vegas and back a couple times if you had to. But twice back and forth, 23 hour flights to Australia, in the middle of camp is not good. He's probably done, but waaaay to many distractions for a 42 year old to pull off his best.Last edited by TLC8; 11-27-2013, 10:13 PM.Comment
