Shane Mosley could be forced to consider retirement after suffering his first stoppage defeat against Anthony Mundine in Sydney.

The 42-year-old veteran failed to come out for the seventh round after complaining of back spasms and will make a decision about his future when he returns to the US.

Mosley, a former three-weight world champion, was forced on the back foot by Mundine's early aggression in the first round. [Click Here To Read More]

It's sad but I think that in a few months Shane might say that he lost the fight due to back spasms which happened due to this or that but that everything is good now and that he's in the best shape of his career and ready to take on the best in the sport. I wish Shane Mosley the best and hope he chooses the highroad and not let money cloud his judgement. At one point there's no question that he was one of the best but at age 42 retirement has been past due for quite some time now.

I almost choked on my coffee when I heard the Australian commentators say, " Mundine could call out Mayweather or Canelo because he has just managed to do what no other fighter has done and stop Mosley." What a joke! Talk about being delusional! Mosley was already finished and Mundine is average at best. What a terrible fight.

that what I was thinking too,he'll say he feels much better and his back caused him to lose and we'll probably see him again, but you know what,if i'm getting paid hundred of thousands a dollars for a fight, why not continue?i mean he's losing but it's not like he's getting knocked out cold and getting concusions,if that was the case then I would retire but heck for that money I would keep going too
