Perhaps, but I still think that Floyd is really gonna have to take risks in this fight to pull it off.

He'll jab over Pac's low right like he did Guerrero and Zab. His reach will be the difference in this fight.

dont remember pacquiao being tentatic in the morales fights
i remember in the marquez fights he wasn't throwing alot because of marquez being way out of range until he dived foward with a combo

the third fight obviously had to do with him and his team proclaiming to the world how they are going to showcase their new found boxing skills and play at marquez's own game(counter-punching)

but obviously any fighter that isn't an idiot will know not to throw a committed punch without having set it up against a counter-puncher like marquez, who does not cover up or go into a defense mode AT ALL

          that's a good spot, i think you're right

it worked real well for morales in the first fight, until roach taught pacquiao the right hook, which he then caught and hurt morales with multiple times in the rematches, off of that jab

They never said they were going to box with Marquez. Remember Ariza and Roach? NOt even God in the ring can help Marquez and that he was going to get knocked out?

no, they definitely did, the plan was to show how much pacquiao had improved, and how he can now box real well

the fourth fight they wanted to take it back to pacquiao's roots, aggression

Yeah it did. I was surprised at how effective Morales was with the jab because he usually used it as a range finder most of the time. I think Mayweather's is much more educated

You can't compare Morales and Marquez to Floyd, do you even know styles? Morales and Marquez are aggressive counter punchers, Floyd is a one shot at time guy, he has to make sure that the shot will land before he throws it.

Marquez never shells up either, he goes toe to toe with Pacman in exchanges.

Floyd opens up wtih combos like Morales and Marquez did to Pac, chances are Floyd would get a swelled eye or bloody nose. That is what Pac wants. Floyd throwing one shot at a time will hurt him too, Floyd did that against Oscar and he nearly lost a SD to him because his activity was so low.

Floyd will have to dog fight with Pacman, at this stage I favor Floyd stronger because Pacman has slowed down badly, but prime for prime that would be one of the best stylistic scraps ever. not an easy fight for either guy.

Evader holyfield said this years ago about Pac vs. Floyd he breaks it down perfectly

A better question is: Floyd's reach vs Manny's short arms?

Morales was strictly jab - straight right hand to the head and body, and jab again, keeping a tight guard.

Once Manny starts getting hit his output drops, that's all there is too it. It's easy to throw 90 punches a round against a corpse like Delahoya or a plodder with no right hand like Cotto.
