It wasn't going to happen in the first place. IMO, Froch has 2-3 fights max left. His resume is already impressive; he just needs to think about his legacy/bank balance.

A rematch against Groves in the summer would be huge; a rubber match with Kessler would do decent numbers; and Chavez Jr/GGG in the 'States would be a good earner too

I'm baffled by some of the posters on here. Clearly the Calzaghe brigade have come out in force.

      Froch will rematch Groves.
I agree with most of what you say on the thread apart from the urban myth that froch got outclassed by ward. He only lost by 2 rounds on one, 4 rounds on the other. hE BEAT KESSLER far better than ward beat froch. Froch finished stronger and won the last 3 rounds imo.

But the rest of what you say is the truth. Froch had groves finished, and that's the bottom line.

Groves couldn't defend himself, had his back turned, was koed by 5 unreturned punches.

the harsh thing is its all in slowmo on youtube in HD, so why people are moaning about it is anyones guess.

Plus froch still had 1 minute and 30 seconds left.

Frch actually landed 2 body shots as groves turned away koed.

Those are the facts im afraid.
