Bradley's offense is crude and often ineffectual. He can pop a jab, yes, but it's a stay busy jab. His right hand can be good, and was at 140, but since moving up he hasn't used it much and when he does it isn't effective. Most his other punches are sloppily thrown. He's not that good an offensive fighter. He's good inside, but as he moves up in weight his lack of power will never allow him to stay inside and go to war, which is where he's offensively at his best.

Alvarez can throw every punch, throws them hard and with snap, and is a good combination puncher. He's clearly a better offensive fighter than Bradley. He's not as good defensively, though.

You're talking about big light middleweights? Alvarez is one of the biggest. I'm not even sure he is a light middleweight anymore, he's coming in the ring, other than the Mayweather fight, at or around 170. Bradley is solidly built for 147, but Alvarez is a tank who should probably be at middleweight now.

If Alvarez and Bradley were to fight, there would be nothing Bradley could do to make Alvarez respect him. Picture the Trout fight, except Bradley isn't as fast or big and won't be able to keep Alvarez away as effectively. Can't see how Bradley would win.
Weighing a lot on fight night dont make u big *****, he's 5'7'', if he puts on any more weight and he'll end up bein plain fat. He'll get murked like a ***** at 160, who's he gona fight and beat? He can't have Matty Hatton move up to 160 LOL

I'm not saying Canelo is a come forward type but he is an offensive fighter with decent offense, my point is that everything Canelo does, Bradley does better. Canelo's only advantage is slightly in height and more so in power. If Bradley can make Canelo chase him all night ala Mayweather, what's the ginger ***a gona do? he can't cut off the ring for ***s sake, his feet are slower than Grandpa Simpson's and his hand speed is half of what Bradley has.

You say Bradley pops and moves? That's all he's gota do to beat this lil Mexican fella. Pop jab, get outa range, rinse and repeat with a few right hands and left hooks. Canelo has a puncher's chance in this fight and that is all.

Don't get me wrong, I was impressed with him in the Trout fight, thought it was a lot closer than the judges had it but nvm, good fight, decent performance but I saw 2 things that night:
    1. Canelo is slow as ***
    2. He's a 5 round fighter, maybe 6 at a stretch

    Get over it homeboy

mmm I reckon bradley could maybe beat Cotto but I agree, I think Lara outboxes him and maybe hurts him a bit too. Then again Cotto can hurt Bradley too.

I just put Mayweather as an option cos he is the current "King" at 154 lol

It's more than height, Alvarez is barely making 154, he's looking less than stellar at weigh ins making 154. He's very, very big for the weight, and would be a rock solid tank at 160. He's not fat, he's just big. One of the biggest fighters at 154.

Alvarez's hands are fast when he can let them go. Faster than Bradley's would be at 154. He looked slow against Floyd Mayweather, who the hell doesn't? Against everyone else, including faster fighters than Bradley, he's more than held his own.

In order to successfully win a fighter where you are popping the jab and moving, you have to do something to make the guy chasing respect you, or you have to be strong enough to grab and neutralize when the distance closes. Bradley can't do either of those at 154, he's barely managing at 147 against much smaller guys. Alvarez would simply walk through whatever Bradley is throwing and unleash his combinations without having to worry about what's coming back. And Bradley isn't good enough defensively, especially if he's moving to 154, to avoid what Alvarez would be throwing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an Alvarez fan, but the truth is the truth. Bradley is not good enough to beat Saul Alvarez at 154. He's already a lesser fighter at 147, another division would be terrible for him.

So he would be in the same position Marquez was when they fought right?

I picked Mayweather, Nelson, Andrade, and Canelo. I think Bradley beats all the rest. Nelson and Andrade may just be too big for him, they are pretty tall, rangy guys. Canelo would win a decision on the cards (maybe undeservedly so), and Floyd, well is just Floyd.

Not really. JMM has been at welter for a few years at this point in time. When he first jumped up against Floyd he was slow, he has adapted to the weight now.

Bradley skimped on the cardio heading into the Ruslan fight and added like 12 pounds or something after the weigh in. He was visibly slower than he was against Pac due to the added weight, much like JMM against Floyd.

Tim has a lot of muscle, that's how he went from 140 to 147, he just didn't cut as much weight and beefed up a little bit with muscle. He would have to add even more muscle to not be "fat" at 154 and it would slow him down big time, especially at first.
