I love how barely anyone actually reads the articles on these threads. Marquez says nothing offensive about Pacquiao at all. He just points out that Rios was the right type of opponent for him, which everyone knows anyway.

LOL at boxing computer geeks questioning the courage of someone who shared the ring wjth Pacquiao 4 times! I guess call pro boxers names online takes more guts..... as you were.....

Btw, Floyd has that kind yet? I don't think so... He has no epic match ups up to now.
PAC had, morales, Barrera, Marquez. It's his version of the 4 horseman.
Leonard had haggler, Hearns and Duran.
That makes a legend a legend he danced with the greats of the sport and produced epic fights.

to dismiss pacs work against morales, barrera, & jmm is a tragic example of bias... because you can say the same thing about floyds work against corrales, gatti, etc...
i think the canelo win clenched it for floyd. most fans KNEW canelo wasnt ready to share the stage with floyd. the fight further solidified those thoughts... but floyd gets all the credit in the world for making that fight happen, it was the most dangerous fight he had available.

JMM is right, Rios isnt good enough to challenge Pac.

i dont think jmm is saying anything offensive at all... he is saying the truth.
BUT, you can clearly sense the passive aggressive butthurt in his statements... he is feeling like a bridesmaid right now. LOL.
pac had a HORRIBLE 2012, yet he can still pack a venue and headline a PPV like nothing happened. he paints a masterpiece against a limited fighter and then the hype starts again.... no wonder jmm is a bit salty.
jmm KO's pac... loses to tim... and is back in mexico with nobody giving a damn... he knows that the hype machine started, and that after a few more impressive victories for pac, the story is about his triumphant return, not about his ko loss... in the end, jmm is left sour AGAIN.
only his niche fans will cling to the KO and "keep the feeling". theres a possibility pac might move on and the KO will be remembered as a speedbump, not a career-ender (like lennox, wlad, etc.).

So since Marquez just lost to Bradley, he's now discrediting Pac's performance to make his KO of Pac relevant again by saying Rios didn't chin-check Manny, lol.
Oh and JMM ducked Rios.

I can understand JMM not wanting to risk what for him was the ideal end to his rivalry with Pacquaio. But to be honest, he's kind of doing that anyway by very publicly refusing a rematch that the Pacquaio side are pushing hard for. It would be different if he was moving onto bigger paydays, but the Pacquiao fight is by far the biggest payday Marquez can get.
