You are right, number don't lie. jmm still looked like an Old man and they even tried to rob Tim. Do you really believe it was a split D? Doesn't really matter what the numbers says, have you watched other unfair scoring before to actually even use the stats to convince yourself? can't change other people opinion and our opinion doesn't even matter. It's what the judges says matters and affects boxers mentality, so please..jmm looked like a fool in there with Tim.
Originally posted by sterilizerBelow I am quoting several mistaken opinions from Marquez haters, who ridiculously claim that Bradley "schooled" Marquez, when in fact that never actually happened. It was a close split division and had the fight not happened in Vegas, it could actually have been won by Marquez. I agree with the decision because it was close, but I would have also agreed with a draw and even a Marquez win. HERE, NUMBERS DON'T LIE (Compubox)
Final numbers: (landed/thrown = percentage of accuracy)
Jabs
Bradley: 82/337 = 24.33%
Marquez: 38/169 = 22.48%
Power punches
Bradley: 86/225 = 38.22%
Marquez: 115/286 = 40.20%
Totals: Jabs + Power Punches
Bradley: 168/562 = 29.89%
Marquez: 153/455 = 33.62%
That's no "schooling" by any means.
Bradley won in throwing jabs.
JMM won in power punches and overall percentage of accuracy.
So it boiled down to tastes: the judges/commentators who rooted for 100% defensive, lots of jabbing style (Bradley) had him winning and the ones that rooted for offensive, lots of power-punching and accuracy style, rooted for Marquez.
Here are a bunch of samples of biased and mistaken opinions from Marquez haters:
