To hell with all of you guys now giving him crap. He trained his ass off for the biggest opportunity of his life and lost. It takes balls to get into the ring and it takes balls to go through those training camps. Every fighter works their whole lives for opportunities like these. How would you feel if your life's work was beaten out of you for twelve rounds?

I remember losing my first amateur fight and I was shattered. Absolutely shattered. I can't imagine how he feels. You guys making fun of him - you sure as hell don't deserve to be called boxing fans.

Nah, i dont think so, i think alverado was a more taxing fight than Pacquiao, here he was just got outboxed, Alverado exchanges were brutal.

I was rooting for him to win he bust his ass off man, thats why he was crying he read the Flowmos tweets saying he was a bum and punching bag, but Rios was the best conditioned he ever was and he even said it so Pac beat the best version of rios. Only problem with rios is he tried to out box pacman and put the wrong plan.

You think it wouldnt mean everything in the world to him to knock off an ATG like Pacquaio? Thats blood, sweat, and literal tears over 5 months of training and leaving it all in the ring.

The same goes for other sports. These guys invest so much into the game so when you leave it all out there and come up short, it will get to you sometimes. Ive never been with that money stuff. To me thats kinda like hating. I guess he could cry if he made 50k then right? How much did he make compared to Pacquaio?

If his sport pays him 4mil then thats what he deserved to make, because he bust his asz to get there

I said I felt bad for him. But he IS getting $4 million. And yes, he has to pay taxes and other expenses. But he should still leave with a couple million at least. That's more money than many, many people make. That's great money! So yeah, I feel bad for him. But on the other hand, he has to be happy too because of the money he'll get. And I'm sure he'll take some satisfaction in that (just not that night though).

When u say that u didn't ever get dazed or never felt the power I have to wonder why then someone with Brandon's fighting style and mentality didn't get closer to going for broke like we expected him to do?

We can talk about the disparity in the skills in that ring and I get that. But I think back to Mares vs Moreno. There is a hilarious part in that fight where it looked like a basketball drill in there- Mares literally running across the ring after Anselmo to stay on top of him. That clearly wasn't a textbook example of cutting off the ring. That was sheer extra effort to impose your will. And that's what I expected to see from Brandon in one form or another. I respect that he kept coming forward. Definitely tougher than any of us behind a keyboard. But from what he has put out there through his own words and through his previous fights, he def disappointed from that aspect.

I have to give Roach credit here. He put in Brandon's mind the though of a KO. Brandon kept mentioning this prior to the fight and how he was going to look back at roach across the ring to let him know he was still there. He may have subconsciously fought to survive. Fighting like a fighter who was not going to take a chance of getting knocked out where normally he would never think of that and just fight his fight. Victory in his mind may have in part become not getting knocked out

At what point do people think to themselves "alright, he's probably gonna be faster than I think he is".

Way too many people go in thinking 'he's not that fast', and leave the ring saying 'holy *** he's fast'. **** just gets annoying.

Protip; he's probably faster than you think he is

No idea why Rios didn't really crank up the pressure and lay it all out (like he usually does!). He was fighting defensively the entire fight -- survival mode.

But he says he tried and gave it his all. So oh well... I just feel like he could've performed much better. He's a much better fighter than what he showed. You may have a point in that he was afraid of getting KO'd. I also think the huge atmosphere played a role too, and it being entirely pro-Pacquaio. So he was fighting Pacquaio and the crowd too.

I think Robert Garcia had a really bad game plan.
