the pacquiao of old would've knocked out a sitting duck like that..

either way it was a good showing and its just a matter of time before pac gets really tested so far so good I guess..

The consensus was if Pacquiao was ok he'd destroy Rios, and he did. Pacquiao is just fine. I don't think we should try to critique his performance too much. He did his job.

On a side note, Broner wouldn't beat Pacquiao.
Exactly. What is this nonsense about how Pacquiao "should have" destroyed Rios? He won every damn round and produced Elephant Man level damage to his face. Rios eats punches like fat suburban kids eat Halloween candy, except he smiles more. Only way Rios was getting stopped was if that swelling burst open leaving a gaping cavity on his face. That was a solid performance by Pacquiao.

This is the point. Rios had the will beaten out of him, which I thought was basically impossible. He turned him into a tentative shell, just like he did to Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, and (to a lesser extent/perhaps unfairly) Bradley. That is nearly as impressive as a knockout.

Pac is not shot, he can still move but he is not the guy that destroyed Oscar, Hatton, and walked through Cotto a few years ago.
As far as a Floyd fight he would still be a challange for Mayweather. If he stays as active as he did last night it would be an interesting fight. Still think Mayweather would oupoint him in a snoozfest but would still like to see it.

Am I the only one who tunes out any thread that says Bradley beat Pacquiao in the original post?

I'm a pacfan but really just love boxing. Period. That being said manny looked really good. My biggest concern w manny last night was when he got hit by rios a couple time he did not look very comfortable. And for a couple rounds there it started to feel like rios could have made it a better fight for him. Punches in bunches eventually stopped any momentum he started to get

No one has really mentioned that many was hurt in the fight. He said it himself and there was one time in the ropes where I was thinking many looked a little shook.

As for old many knocking everyone out, even as a PAC fan it can say I honestly believe he was on something. Doesn't take away from his skill set but it was a little su****ious given the vast different weights and the caliber of fighters. Cotto for example. I think when god came into his life he settle up with god and no longer is on whatever he was on.

I think he's got plenty of fight and a fight w Marquez is pointless. Bradley makes more sense but the Bradley that is fighting now is much better than the one pacquio stepped in the ring with. If he chooses to box that is.

If I were pacquio I would stay away from the top tier and take fun exciting fights and slowly walk towards one last mega fight. Then hang them up. He don't need May. May would beat him easy anyway.
