Comments Thread For: DiBella Drops Hamer For Quitting on The Stool, Again

There was no sugarcoating Tor Hamer's actions versus Andy Ruiz in their HBO PPV-televised heavyweight bout Sunday morning in Macau (Saturday evening in the U.S), which served in supporting capacity to Manny Pacquiao's ring return versus Brandon Rios. A fun scrap turned anti-climactic when Hamer opted to remain on his stool rather than come out for the fourth round.

The act marked the second time in less than a year in which the New York-based heavyweight sought the nearest action in a televised bout. The same pattern developed in his NBC-televised co-feature with Vyacheslav Glazkov last December, bowing out after four rounds of action.

That guy should have his purse cut in half or fully revoked, that was horrible. I understand a guy like Alvarado not coming out for round 10 against Provo but not being in shape to fight 4 rounds is ******** pathetic.

I wanna criticize him.... But as of lately its hard with all the injuries. If he felt like he can't continue, then fine

            I love Lou!

Tor Hamer has no heart what so ever and quits everytime he gets hit. I actually seen the quit-job coming

Its a disgrace to those that pay good money too watch this coward 'fight'
Shame as he actually does have talent he just has the wrong mindset/no heart.

Not that Hamer is good but i dislike it when people say NBA star in boxing etc...

taking punishment is half of boxing. Can you go through getting broken noses, cuts on lips, eyes etc... and getting hit on the chin and body?

I have met athletes who can play sports but get injured all the time, or simply agile and good with a ball but simply hate taking a shot in the head et...

Hamer did what he did, soft guy.

Hamer was doing some good work until Ruiz made him quit
