you are correct. it's all about the a-side and that a-side meth. an overrated fighter like wlad is allowed to hold every time an opponent gets close because he's the draw. if he tries that while he's the b-side he gets dq'd like henry akwindade did against lennox.
British Boxing is the most corrupt scene in all of sport

its not incompetence. the same guy that stopped manfredo-calzaghe let khan-prescott and enzo continue when they were completely and utterly gone. if it was incompetence they would be fired but the same guys keep getting the call because they are trustworthy. same reason the same terrible judges keep getting the call.I agree that there is certainly corruption, and I think the Froch/Groves fight was more an example of a ref that was given the word to maybe help a little and give Froch the advantage in any tough situation, or just stop it in favour of Froch absurdly.
However, I do think that a large amount of it in Britain is, as Iron says, purely incompetence on a very high level.
It's pretty similar here at times, and everywhere if we be honest.Comment

Reactionary nonsense. There is corruption and incompetence everywhere in boxing. There's a reason this **** doesn't surprise me any more. It happens repeatedly and not just here.Comment

Kovalev/Cleverly was seriously disgusting. The ref waved the fight off, changed his mind, and carried the guy back to his corner. WTF.
That's every bit as bad as the Froch/Groves stoppage.Comment

It's not corrupt, that's ******.
It's just our referees are too anxious, it goes back to Watson-Eubank/Benn-McClellan. They jump in far too early, have done for years and it will probably never be resolved. The rhetoric 'better safe than sorry' is one they use regularly.
Dodgy judging is to be expected but I'd say 95% of the bullshit that occurs over here is because of the ref.
Think Groves was right about his image vs Froch's and the fight being stopped 'cause of it.Comment

O'Connor is awful but he wasn't stopping the fight, he was jumping between the two fighters because the bell was about to go. The commentators tried to claim he was stopping it.Comment
