Who Wins... Would George Groves Style Actually BEAT Andre Ward?

You know what they say, styles makes fights.. George Groves put up a great fight for many rounds against Froch but I think he would have succumbed to Froch's power eventually, even without that horrendous stoppage.

Now Ward is not a heavy hitter, Groves may well be able to take his punches without too much difficulty and implement his own game plan to perfection.

Does Groves have what it takes to defeat Ward?

He would have a good shot, better than anybody not named Dirrell at 168. The fact that he's a good counterpuncher would help him A LOT against Ward.

He has no chance. Only guy I see causing problem to ward right now would be stevenson.

        Groves causes problems for ANYONE

        Speed, power, reflexes, movement

It'd be Wards most difficult night

However I still favour Ward, but in a year or 2 that all may change

Groves is only 25 and not in his prime yet

I don't know how it would go because i've only seen Ward fight guys with no defence who just trundle forward and are one dimensional

until i see ward fight a guy whith good movement and speed who at least tries to avoid punches i couldn't tell you

Groves has a punchers chance considering what he did to froch

No chance at all! Two different levels of talent, Groves has no style he looks like an unpolished fighter from the 30s. Terrible jab, wild wide punches and has no clue how to tie up or work inside at all. He showed willingness but thats it, very raw and minimal skills. Ward would handle him but it would take some time to get through Groves awkwardness! Ray.
