He got put on his arseee in round 1, that's why he was on the backfoot

Groves jab was knocking his head back

Froch couldn't cope with the movement speed and power and pace. he looked like a old man with poor footwork

Groves was clearly the better boxer

Groves will come into a rematch, way more accurate, knowing he can hurt Froch and out jab him and run circles around him

Frochs only hope is if Groves resorts to doing what Amirr Khan does and getting to brave

Also Froch better hope Booth isn't back in the corner with Groves

Just got home and finished watching it, terribly quick stoppage but Froch stops him again, Groves looked very good early and was easily winning but was fading after the 6th or 7th, Froch would stop him again in a rematch and was most likely headed towards a less controversial stoppage anyway in this fight. I believe he was coming on and looked fresh and more warmed up as the fight went on.

Groves did hurt him and Groves was the better boxer, that's why Froch won't try boxing him in a rematch, he'll do what he was doing the last few rounds.

Especially as he was getting tired.

Froch is a supremely conditioned athlete though - no question. So a late stoppage is always on the cards.

Groves with a decision win but having to cling on at the end. I don't think Froch can be stopped. That combination Groves landed should have been enough to knock the fucker out 6 times over.
I was rooting for Froch, but imho, he was saved by the bell in the first round. So i think he can be stopped.

Agree with Groves getting tired.... but that was one of the worst stoppages in boxing.

I think Froch would take him by late KO. Next time Froch wouldn't get careless like he did in round 1 and he would eventually wait until Groves gets tired and then he'll KO him.

There are things both could do better in a rematch.

Groves needs to try not to get involved as much, he should have used his legs more and been content to bank rounds being "boring", fight in patches but be more focused on winning roundsthan trying to go f or the stoppage.

Froch I honestly belive did underestimate Groves, he looked shocked in the first few rounds and he didn't seem to have a gameplan at all, I think he thought he'd win by just showing up. In a rematch he needs to take Groves seriously, and go at him from the opening bell. Fighting on the backfoot against a guy faster than you are is ******. Froch only landed occasionally but George really felt his shots, I stand by my assertion that Groves is a fragile fighter, as I say he wasn't hit much at all in this fight but whenever he was he seemed hurt. Froch despite going down was "better" able to take Groves shots

Put it this way if froch landed the amount that Groves did, this fight would have been over in two or three rounds

Gameplan for froch would be **** boxing on the back foot, jump on him early andtake a shot or two to land one.

All tthat said I'd lean towards froch but if Groves boxed smarter I think he'd take it, it's whoever is better on the night

If they re-matched in the states, Groves will likely win. He just tired out but the stoppage was premature and Groves can make the needed adjustments while Froch might be stuck in the mud.

He wont have the option to do what he did in the last 2 rounds because Groves will not give him it

That was inexperience on Groves part and exerting too much energy by brawling and being overly macho mid way through the fight.

If Booth was in his corner he would have told him to relax and not go all out like a mad man, when he was clearly winning the fight by a long mile.

Froch was only in with a chance because Groves let him,
