Foty can't wait for the rematch. To be fair groves looked like he was on his way out, Ref stopped what was looking like a KO for Carl.

I had Groves up 6-2 and with a kd so 5 Points clear. How the **** did 2 judges have him up only by 1??

That was an awful stoppage. Golly what a knockdown groves had on froch in the first round. Props to froch for showing heart and coming back but the stoppage was way premature.

Ok, I've watched it again sober, and still strongly disagree with that stoppage.
There's no consistency in the refereeing, if your going to be overly cautious and overprotective you need to be that way with both fighters.

He's let George's rep as being chinny and Carl's rep as a ferocious puncher and finisher influence him there. It's not his job to try and predict what might happen if he lets the fight go on, wether froch would have finished him in that round or the 10th is irrelevant.

If you argue that the ref is supposed to look out for the health of a fighter first and foremost then he's only looked out for the health of one fighter here.
Which fighter was speaking with clarity after the fight and which fighter couldn't even remember being knocked down.

There absolutely needs to be a rematch. I expect froch to make adjustments but if if groves sticks to his jab in the next fight I think he takes it.

I had a feeling Groves had a shocker for us as per my comments. Go back and take em in. There is overconfidence, and than there is good ol' "I know something you don't" and Groves as i said seemed to know something the rest of us didn't, went in and proved it. Stoppage was a disgrace. Groves will never have "that" moment back again. No matter how many wins or milestones he reaches, they just took the only "0" he'll ever have away from him on the biggest night of his young life. A night like this should have been unforgettable, but not for these reasons.
