Even though I don't think Froch is P4P, and I definitely disagree with the referees decision. Froch does bring it every fights. All of his fights are exciting. This fight was no exception. Great battle, there must be a rematch.

Agreed, and the stoppage wasn't his fault.

Groves took 4 clean shots without reply, another 10 secs and groves was ktfo, yes up until end 5 groves dominated, but he was done, how many times has Froch taken it to the championship rounds and stolen victory from defeat? The guy never gives up right until the last second.

Groves will be a world champ tho, even if he is a ****.

Exactly the way I saw it. His head was down and even though his arms were flailing he was unable to defend himself.

Most biased commentary i ever heard, jim watt and that other clown had groves nutz in the mouth all night, i give groves credit he world level, and i dont doubt that if they have rematch, he hurts froch early again and outboxes him til 6 or 7.. but dont ever doubt the cobra he a beast and all through that fight when they were d*k suckin groves i said froch is still gonna stop him late or ko him, i never doubted him once>> once groves speed slowed, and they were equal in terms of quickness in combinations/exchages there was only one winner... Froch caught up with him... he did get ****ed up early and the REF the p*ssy DEFO STOPPED IT EARLY, i betted froch round 10 tko and i have no doubt FROCH WOULD HAVE KNOCKED GROVES OUT IN 10 or 11... and to the crowd how you gonna boo a man that eats those kinda shots and comes back like a warrior.. Wish this guy had been officiating Mago's last bout...

No matter who the ref, the mago fight would never have been stopped.. It was back and forth and very competitive. He received damage over the course of the fight. At no point was he out on his feet and took too many punches when he couldn't defend himself. He was never severely hurt at any point where the ref could have jumped in. And he wasn't so far down on the cards that he could have stopped it bc he was taking unnecessary punishment. He seemed to be giving it as good as he was getting. He also wasn't in the corner to hear him complain to them. The only people that could have stopped that were mago or his corner. Obviously overall he took too much damage; but thats not how stoppages usually happen unless its one sided. It is tragic and we all wish it could have been stopped but it 100% did not have to do with the ref not stepping in when he should have

To be honest, i think Froch would of stopped Groves in that round if the fight continued. But it should of continued..no way should it off been stopped at that point.

Tough on Groves, he fought a great fight. I think he totally surprised Froch by taking the center of the ring and the knock down mentally knocked Froch for six...Groves was able to back him up.

Froch showed a great chin again at times..did he just get old overnight though? It happens. Not so sure he will be overly-keen on an immediate rematch.

As for Groves, he's a good fighter. I thought he would lose tonight...but i still thought he would go on to big things after the fight as he's a quality fighter. After tonight, my opinon is he's even better than i thought.
He had a tough break tonight for sure.

Yes I said disgusting decisions!! The ref took NO POINTS from carl froch and allowed him to use dirty tactics which he's gotten away with too often (remember the Dirrell Fight?? If not go back an watch).

Stopped the fight too soon when Groves had hurt Carl far more in several rounds!

The whole promotion was geared towards favoring Froch just because he's best buds with Eddie Hearn.

Carl Froch is an arrogant and self obsessed M0R0N! He turned on the fans just because they didn't agree with his opinions!!

Ditto. The fight was going the way many of us predicted.
I would also add that I feel Froch should retire. His speech at the end of the fight sounded punch drunk - reminded me of De Niro's portrayal of Jake LaMotta at the end of his career.
