Groves was gassed and Froch was coming on. This is why fights are 12 rounds. Good chance Froch stops him late. People can be pissed at the stoppage but stop acting like Froch had no chance in the fight.

I think Froch was on his way to stop Groves, he was landing some hard shots and Groves was getting very tired. Still a bad stoppage.Comment

groves was beating the Cobra's arse ! The ref should be investigated, he has to be on the take. Groves had been inflicting damage throughout the fight and as soon as he gets tested to see if he is a true champ the ref does this - I have been a die hard fan of this beautiful sport for 30+ years and I am so close to turning my back on it - I am in utter shock at the stoppage - the ref has to be investigated, they seriously sheeted on Groves, he dominated this fight !!!! had the cobra second guessing his own credentials, from what I just saw Froch wants nothing to do with Andre Ward, if they do fight WARD WILL KO HIM!!!Comment

I watched the replay like 5 times... froch nailed him with 6 unanswered punches & 4 of them were bombs! he was stubling around & froch would have finished him. great fight but I don't hink the stoppage was bad. the judging I heard was bad & the commentary was terrible. I never heard so many guys hoping for froch to lose. froch would counter with a huge punch & get no credit for it. it wa groves this, groves that. I had groves up 6-2 going into the 9th with an extra point for the KD. froch had him & the ref stopped froch from a knock out or at least a kd. lots of time left but groves took 4 big ones unanswered & the ref held him up...Comment

I'm not comparing anything i'm just pointing out that one day we wish they'd stop more fights before insurmountable damage is sustained and then we are mad when a ref does what he thinks is best for the guys he's officiating. There is no middle ground, like ever. Someone will always have an issue with the outcome regardless of what the Ref felt or saw.Comment

Not about Froch having no chance - what you are saying is speculation, I am dealing in reality, the fight should not have been stopped, if so then it should have been stopped after Frankenstein got dropped and turned into bambi after the first - no shoulda woulda coulda - this stoppage is really going to hurt Froch in the long run because I see nothing but pain in his future the wars are catching up...Comment
