Surely it's not bigger than Benn-Eubank. Froch's name belongs in that company but George Groves hasn't done anything to merit that yet,

Of course if Groves wins tonight we might look back on it in a different light.

Eubank vs Benn was one of the biggest uk boxing grudge matches in history

Froch groves is nothing more than fake hype ! They knew it would be a tough sale on ppv hence why froch has started acting weird
exactly,,, no way does this fight compare to that,, only froch vs calzaghe would come close

the simple answer is absolutely not.
i am big fan of both theses fellahs as was i a massive benn fan.
this is no match, not by a mile.
furthermore, a prime roy jones junior and james toney avoided these geezers and the brilliant michael watson too.

              Good article. Decent argument.

Read it before commenting. Its true that tv exposure plays a huge part in how 'big' fights are, and obviously these days an all british fight doesnt get the hype it would of decades ago. Plus its interesting to hear about how Eubank was very untested at the time, and seen as nothing more than an entertaining prospect, while Benn, although mixing it with world class fighters, hadnt foguth the best like Froch has.

Id say Benn was explosive as hell from day one, and Eubank had more personality than both Froch and Groves together, so i still think Benn - Eubank edges it.
