Comments Thread For: Photos/Weights: Hernandez, Alekseev Ready For Battle

The weights are in for Sauerland Event's big show on Saturday night, which featured a main event with Yoan Pablo Hernandez defending his IBF cruiserweight championship against mandatory challenger Alexander Alekseev. Both boxers weighed in under the cruiserweight limit at 198.4-pounds. Hernandez is riding a 13 fight winning streak, going undefeated since a 2008 defeat to Wayne Braithwaite. And Alekseev has recovered to go unbeaten in his last six fights after suffering a shocking two round knockout loss to Denis Lebedev in 2010.

Looking forward to seeing Hernandez back in action. I was shocked at the way he made Cunningham look silly in both their fights, and he would no doubt make Huck look like the useless clown that he is.

Really looking forward to this. Hernandez is an exceptional talent, and his chin makes it even more interesting.

Hernandez doesn't have the chin to deal with Huck. Huck by KO all day.

You must have missed the 1st USS fight, beyond round 1.

Agreed. Bad style matchup for Hernandez. It's exactly the type of fighter Huck looks spectacular against to be honest.

Going under the radar this one. Both guys are skilled & vulnerable. This could be a good one!

I had quite high hopes for Alekseev coming up but he has a poor chin and I question how seriously he takes the sport. He looks a bit soft at the weigh in, a lot softer than usual anyway.

lol Indeed. Luckily, Pablo is a tough hombre with plenty of heart. Feels like it's been a long time since Hernandez's last fight. Hope he looks good.

Hernandez looks in much better shape than Alexeev.

I think Hernandez had a bad handinjury.

I'm disagreeing with those above saying that Huckabee beats Hernandez. I think they are overratning Huck. I would be very confidence of a KO win for Hernandez.
