canelo is 23 and cotto about to retire, anyways canelo-cotto is good for both fighters mostly for the rivalry on nations but to say canelo needs cotto or cotto needs canelo is dumb, canelo has a career ahead of him and a huge fanbase he really doesnt need to rush into ppvs now... but if he wanted to do a ppv bigger than the cotto one, he could just fight chavez's fat a$$....

he can take one fight after the other , but seems like ricans dont want the canelo fight, why take only one when you can take the 2 fight and make more money and legacy??

Cotto has turned down money before. He coulda fought Pacquiao but choose Trout instead. He may do it again. He'll be treated like the star by HBO and Top Rank if he fights Martinez. He's a stepping stone for Golden Boy.
