I feel 2013 has been a great year of Boxing

What about you? What are your favourite fights?

Some new life in boxing and the old are still around. I think a new era is about to happen in the next 2 years.

I can see it being a great 2 years honestly

For me, I really enjoyed the revelation of Mikey Garcia who I feel is an excellent boxer

Broner, flawed but IMO I like watching his fights and videos. He is ****** on twitter so I took that off but he has charisma. Last year he looked like a fool at pressers, stuttering etc... but this year his character came out well. I want him to get a WT strap at 140 though

Danny Garcia man, I dislike his dad a lot, but the guy is pretty humble, quiet and has a rocket chin and can fight. I use to think his slow footwork and technique was quite mediocre, but he proves he is a top fighter every time

Matthyse. The guy htis hard, even Danny was hurt and his gumshield came out. He brings in that quiet flavour of I do my talking in the ring. IMO without the eye shutting he may have won because he was ahead on my cards, but never the less a fun fighter

GGG honestly I like his low hype outside of boxing. A real charmer in a sweet way. However in the ring he has power and wants to fight the best at MW.

Rigondoux, a great boxer, IMO his technique and especially footwork is amazing. Sometimes his activity is a little on the low side, but the footwork is what you should try to aim for, even better than Mayweather imo. He should not have forced TR to enter a contract with the Co Promoter though. That really made them not care for him...

and Hopkins still. At his age, doing his thing. His boxing mind is smarter than anyone IMO. He uses his athleticism, but his smarts is what makes him so damn good.

As well as Mayweather doing his thing, the guy really can't be beat if he maintains his reflexes and speed.

and Manny back in action. I love Manny fights, it's a different style to May and is also a huge attraction. I like how he isn't bitter about his lost either, from Bradley or JMM.

Froch is also fighting Groves. I hated on Froch for chasing Calzaghe and chatting ****, but he's proved to be the 2nd bets at SMW

Year started off very slowly. There wasnt a decent card until around March. Been lots of great fights/events since and still a loaded schedule left.

This has been a very good year for boxing, most of the important fight that we the fans have been looking for have been made. My favorite month was definitely April. We saw Donaire-Rigondeaux and we saw Canelo step up for th first timp with fighting Trout. Some of this years flaws were that many of the top p4p fighters like Martinez,Pacquiao, and Ward have been inactive but this year has been great.

Not long ago I created a thread that it wasn't, but yes, It's been a good year except for Devon Alexander, fights with Brook and Khan fell through.

A Christmas present if Maidana beats Broner.

Yep allot of fighters stepping up and taking risky fights, even the fights that have not produced fireworks we can at least say they fought somebody we wanted them to. With a couple more great fights to end the year. I hope next year we hAve this continue, we will always find fights that didn't happen but I'll take the good with the bad.

It was an excellent year for boxing. Really had everything for every fan. Early in the year we had two fight of the year candidates.

We had emerging stars in GGG and Mikey Garcia.

The Sweet Science Mayweather and Rigondeaux and others putting on clinics.

Danny Garcia and Tim Bradley proving they are the real deal.

Huge upsets, David Price and Abner Mares getting knocked out.

                  Record setting events.

It was a year to remember.

Yes, I agree. The fights might not always live up to expectations, but I think we have seen many of the match ups that we were looking for.

On the downside, the heavyweight division hasn't got going at all for a variety of reasons. I think that might change in the next couple of years though.
