After manny kills Rios, Manny and TR, HBO, and their corporate partners will do what they always do-use the spectre of a floyd fight to hype manny and appeal to his fans and the fans that don't like floyd. You guys will lap it up like a dog because you can log on and post well floyd didn't fight manny so he isn't an ATG etcetc.

So yer saying FLOYD JR is gonna use the excuse that TR and HBO hyped Pac ? and that he don't have fans that like him, and that Pac fans will lap that up ?

I am going somewhere else to find a good excuse.

As long as Arum is tied to a fighter Mayweather will never fight that fighter. It's not just the memories Floyd has of Arum ripping him off, it's the % Arum takes from his fighters. Not to mention Manny's market value has gone down A LOT since his last two fights, one being a KO loss.

I would say be mad at Manny, not Showtime. If Pac hadn't gone out and gotten his ass kicked, there would still be buzz for the fight. At this point, outside of the few Pac worshipers that remain, there's no ral thirst for this one because Pac isn't seen as a legitimate threat. And there's way too much headache that goes into making tthis one for it to be just another fly-by-night 1.5m ppv sale promotion.

This fight still to this day does over 2.5 mil, even more if Pac looks spectacular against Rios and maybe someone else.

No it isn't I already told you why on a previous post you ignored. Ask yourself why a stadium hasn't been build in the entertainment capital of the world. It's not like you are some sort of visionary. I remember bob claimed that it was going to be a temporary structure, ok to hold 50-100k people? Who's going to fund that temporary structure I've seen 20k+ temporary fields take up to 4 months and over 30m dollars.

I'm looking for answers to this too. It was NOTHING but Arum stalling. The 40 million dollar flat fee was lame but so was this stadium nonsense.

Cowboys stadium was originally intended for Pacquiao vs Floyd.

But when Arum and Schaefer were scheduled to meet Jerry Jones, Schaeffer cancelled at the last minute.

So, Arum and Jones went ahead anyway and did the Clottey and Margarito fights. Which did in fact make plenty of profit.

Was it enough to keep fighting there? Probably not which is fine because the only reason Cowboys stadium became involved in boxing was for the purpose of staging Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

Ok, even if they filled Cowboys stadium like I said previously that wouldn't even touch the gate they would've done in Vegas.

Look what Canelo/Mayweather just did. Like 20 million dollars not including selling out all the closed circuits. There was absolutely no need for a stadium.
