I think the same could be said for Froch, he stopped a chinny overated Bute and an exhausted as much as hurt Taylor other than that he nearly always goes the distance.
I think Groves has the better one punch power of the two, but Froch has the edge in chin though all this iron chin stuff is a bit over the top when you look at how Taylor dropped him and hurt him a few times.

Froch has stopped and hurt fighters at the top level and hurt or caused iron chinned fighters to respect his power.

The only fighter who Groves has fought who has a proven chin is a shot Glen Johnson.

Groves has done nothing to suggest he has more power than Froch.

He didn't hurt Degale once, Degale has been hurt by Piotr Wilczewski who's not even a hard puncher.

Yet a guy with "genuine power" can't hurt him?

Froch was only a big puncher when at a lower level and now he is at top level he has to go the distance and does lack big one punch KO power, but has heavy hands and tends to stop fighters with a sustained attack rather than a big shot. Groves on the other hand has shown good power but at the lower level as well, but has not shown it yet at top level because he has not fought at that level yet. Frankly your point is the unproven until Groves hits some top men and i think he will surprise people because he has power and timing to hurt anyone.

Thus impossible to say he has more one punch power than Froch.

He's done nothing to suggest that.

All I've seen is the best fighter he's fought in Degale wasn't hurt once when they fought. And Degale's shown me his chin isn't the best.

I'm rooting for Groves, he's pretty entertaining and is the future of the division. I've also picked him to beat Froch since the beginning of the year, and I'll stick with the prediction. Froch hasn't given me a reason to pick against him, I just think it'll be a night of upsets.

Yeah thats it, it seems like it could be very one sided but I've a feeling Groves is good enough to at least make it a bit interesting

I think Groves has a real shot here.

Have never seen Froch this revved up before. He genuinely dislikes Groves. You can tell Groves has indeed got under the skin of Froch, and Froch wants to put a beating on Groves.

I think Groves might be able to frustrate Groves early and win the battle of jabs, but he will probably be caught at some point in the fight. The moment Groves is hurt, Froch will put it on him, and no mercy either.

I'll be surprised to see this fight go to the cards.

After studying a few of their past fights, I arrived to the conclusion that Froch is going to win... I'm leaning towards the stoppage too.

                      Why?

Groves' speed, style, and technique impressed me, his footwork and defense look very
clean. That said, I noticed that against his best opposition to date, he's prone to having certain lapses in his defense where he becomes vulnerable; it doesn't matter what advantages he has over his opponent or how easy the fight has been, he suffers from these lapses. If it happens once or twice, I can overlook it, but when it happens numerous times in separate fights against different styles, it becomes a red flag.

I think that the lapses occur because he lacks physical strength and isn't an elite ring general (although it is good). Against Froch, your physical strength cannot be in question, he'll steamroll you if you can't stand your ground (think Bute) and if you're ring generalship has holes he'll edge you despite your strength (think Pascal).

Groves has been able to work through those issues thus far, but they are issues that are put on display at the elite level. Once Froch catches him in his defensive lapse, Carl's going to capitalize and there won't be much Groves can do to take the play away. If Froch visibly hurts you, his confidence skyrockets and he never allows you to get back into the fight.

That is what is going to happen here... We will be seeing a mixture of Froch vs Bute/Mack/Pascal. The TKO/KO depends on how patient Froch is and how strong Groves is.
