why is the standard for other elite ww's "challenge" yet with manny its "excitement"? Yes manny got KTFO his last fight, but you and other posters have expressed this standard before to justify some of manny's fights.

Can you see how that inequity in standards is problematic? There is just no way you would approve of another fighter in a fight so lopsided on paper even if they were coming off a ko.

Floyd is champ at 147 and 154 he coulda took khan or a guy at 140 but he chose canelo a huge very skillful fast powerful CHAMPION who never lost a fight ....made it at 152....1 pound shy of what canelo weighed for the trout fight .........

This is a missmatch. Rios can´t handle fighters with footspeed. He squares of in front of Manny and starts brawling, but there will be no target to hit. Pacman just need to let Rios come to him. Let him running into big shots. Rios is not a smart fighter and only knows one way to fight. That´s way too little against a fighter with better technic, footspeed, handspeed and power.

It is was it is. A tune up after a vicious KO loss and a long lay off. I guess Roach isn't trying to insult people's intelligence by trying to talk Rios up because he is there to restore confidence and make Pacquiao look good. I have no problem with that.

What would be dumb is if people talk ******ness about how Manny the Destroyer is back and doesn't need to take on a top guy in his weight division. Make Marquez an offer he can't refuse (50/50) or get Bradley back in the ring to see where he's really at after tuning Rios up. If by some miracle a fight with Mayweather happened straight after, good for us, but I wouldn't be convinced about Pacquiao.
