    Mike Perez, after the tragedy

My prayers to Mago and his family, but I haven't hear from Perez and my guess is that he is profoundly disturb by what happen, do you think that he will be the same on his next fight or became gunshy? A lots of fighters would lose their killer instinct with a tragedy like this

Sergey Kovalev was able to move on and didn't let the tragedy break him down mentally. Hopefully Perez is the same....

Hard to say. Have to wait and see I guess - it's going to effect different guys differently.

Kovalev says that he considered retirement after the Simakov tragedy 2 years ago, but came back guns blazing (as it were) 6 months later and it doesn't seem to have dampened his willingness to go for the KO. He says one of the hardest things is knowing the same could happen to him anytime he steps into the ring.

I remember mancini and he wasn't the same after his fight with the korean kid, Perez has being silence I guess that's his way of coping with such a tragedy, well hopefully he can put it behind and kept on going with boxing career, that is the danger every fighter takes when stepping into the ring.

Most say Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank were never the same after their respective tragedies.

He released i statement saying he was praying for Mago's recovery I think. Hopefully he doesn't let it affect him too much as he was just doing his job in there

Gabriel Ruelas was never the same either but Barry McGuigan didn't seem to suffer any problems. All about the individual.

Brian Rose WAS affected but some counselling appeared to help him.

I hope he's not affected as a fighter. He did his job and won the fight. He has nothing to answer for. But we all know that the mind is more complex than that.

i think he'll be fine because it wasnt a slaughther it was a competitive fight till the end so i think itll be easier for him to come back more so than others

Pretty sure Kovalev actually isn't human.
