Both of them are douchebags, but Ariza is a grade-A piece of shit. There's a level that you just don't cross, and Ariza crossed it. They're very alike in terms of loving the spotlight and being egotistical control freaks.

Here is my take of it:
Roach goes to ask Garcia to leave now, but his fighter Pacquiao isn't even there. Heck in the video interview he still wasn't even there, so is it really a big deal if team Rios stays the extra 30 minutes? Especially since all he's doing is Elliptical?
I would understand if Roach and Pacquiao were waiting there, but again Pacquiao wasn't even there. There was no reason for the confrontation other than Roach going there trying to push his weight around and team Rios wasn't having any of it.Last edited by JJRod; 11-20-2013, 06:22 PM.Comment

Garcia was just doing the interview to promote the fight as far as gym time roach just wanted to be a **** if ur fighter ain't ready a week before the fight then don't even let him fightComment

His recollection is a little off. Definetely down playing his involvement. Ariza should of never mocked his illness . I mean be creative , that's third grade what he did. I think Freddy wanted to kill him after that. He's probally very insecure about aspects of his illness and Ariza knew it. I think Ariza kicked him cause he knew that Freddy might light him up if he got in close . But Freddy looks a little fragile these days so who knows.Comment

Very weird to me how ur the only commenter up here who actually saw what happened. It's like...how does walking up to someone in the middle of an interview w/ a mic in their face get to be considered "respectful". It's clear that Freddie's intent was to be a douche. But it was unreasonable altogether since the gym split between the 2 camps is 6:2 it's like wtf??? Anyhow Freddie came over w/ a douche tone & a ****head's mentality. & began speaking in an authoritative tone to a camp of boxers. He began cursing..He began name calling & he began motioning aggressively toward people. None of it makes sense. He got kicked in the chest for his troubles. Ariza butted in but only after the cursing & piece of **** remark. I dunno who's gonna react well to being told to gtfoh! Anyhow. **** Freddie's disease & age. He didn't act the part of an elder statesman or one inflicted w/ a condition. & Gets no preferential consideration bc of such.Comment

cosign. Roach initiated the entire event. Its Especially senseless in the fact that team Pac controls the gym for 6 hrs compared to 2....smh. C'mon Freddie..knock it off. & tell teh story like it happened. lol Now u see why lawyers have to get multiple witnesses in cases bc...people retell versions of event in completely ****ed up manners. Nothing worse than the "Mr. Smart Guy" act, trying to belittle me whilst having mistakes like these in your post.
Because when he came over the first thing he said was "You need to leave" or something a long those lines which is effectively the same as "Get out". Again, paraphrasing.
Roach wasn't respectful. He came over in an aggressive manner and wasn't willing to listen to anything.
He then was the first person to start cursing and start calling people names which then escalated from there.
Roach clearly being a moron and starting all of this when it could easily have been resolved if he was willing to listen that Garcia and his team had been allowed an extra half hour by Top Rank, but he wasn't.
Why do you feel the need to paraphrase sentences? There are no paragraphs here that need paraphrasing to condense it, WE ARE TALKING SENTENCES AND SIMPLE ONES AT THAT.
GET OUT is a demand/command and has negative tone. YOU NEED TO LEAVE is a suggestion, not a demand and there is a much nicer tone to it. Doesn't matter because Freddy didn't say that. He said nothing close to that when he first came over. He said NO YOU DON'T, WE HAVE THE GYM. What part of that did you miss? Before the comma or after?
Why is sticking to the words make me a "smart guy"? Those are the words he used in the timeline in question. Your just a lowly sod thats going to keep changing the story around until it sounds right. Your doing exactly what Garcia was going post-incident which is fiction.
Roach is the man here, respect should be given to him because without Freddy and Manny Rios would be making chump change selling out the local Wal-Mart. Garcia should show some respect to the biggest payday they've ever had. Roach gets the respect here.
