Everyone is willing to fight anyone while on the come up...all of that changes when your paydays get bigger and bigger..same with Sergio Martinez he fought anyone and then took some easy paydays before the Chavez fight and there after. It's part of the game we've all come to expect. But I respect your opinion whether you agree with me or not.
GGG will be one of 3 big money fights that Andre Ward will have throughout the rest of his career: Chavez, Golovkin and Stevenson.

He can fight him today on HBO World Championship boxing and they will bust HBO's budget or he can fight him on PPV in 1 or 2 years.

Common sense says that staging this fight today is an incredibly terrible business move. I understand fans love to blind themselves to the business aspects of boxing but by doing so they don't think logically.

lol all the experts chime in hahaha. golovkin has beaten kasim ouma, the only world champion he has ever faced and beaten. you morons already think he has the experience to fight ward? if ward beats him all you idiots are going to complain saying "ward is boring and ran whole fight" you idiots as boxing fans will never be happy and always complain about "lucky punch" "ran whole fight" this and that with any fight and any fighter. I don't know why you guys even bother posting your ****** ass newbie opinions.

This time next year the Ward/GGG fight might make more sense. Right now they would both demand big money, but neither are in a position to demand it. Hell Golovkin still makes under 500,000 per fight. he would want 4 million to fight ward.

He's still on the come-up in terms of his popularity, Ward is not a star, that's why he's looking for PPV fights.

That's all a matter of speculation, considering Showtime according to boxing fans is kicking HBO's a s s I don't for a second doubt HBO wants this fight and Golovkin has said he'll fight anyone from 154 to 168! HBO isn't going to risk either of these fighter riding out their contract ending up on showtime and letting showtime take that glory. Showtime lost money on Floyd, networks are not worrying about money it's their names being discussed that helps them.

The guy has been a pro how long? Exactly..i'm sure had he gone pro at 18 his list would be a lot longer than that..this is one of those cases where what he did all those years should come into play as well.

HBO had their top boxing voice put GGG in the top 5 p4p (laughable), acts as if he is the premiere MW in the world (Sergio), wouldn't approve a guy who called him out while simultaneously marketing him as "the most avoided fighter in the world", and had their top boxing voice, on air, tell us as fans that ward/ggg is not a fight thats good right now.

Yes, they are giving him a push, elevating him before he earned it, and are protecting their investment in him. Put them in the ring together.
Yes they are pushing him, what a surprise, because they don't do that every fighter. They are pushing ward too and paying him 5x as much and he can't even come close to golovkins ratings, against Stevens!

And you really need to let this mora thing go already, it's borderline obsession. Let it go already. Stevens and Mora both "called" him out and if he chose mora, you would be saying this about Stevens. When people are saying wa avoided, they are referring to the top fighters in the division, top 5, even top 10. All you do is whine whine whine.

Ward has reached his height and will be another Sergio Martinez in my opinion, not because of his style but because of his age when he reached his top tier..this is a ppv friendly fight..two of the most liked in the sport..the technician vs the technical brawler..actually this fight by nature has more intrigue than people give it credit already.

As I said in the other thread. Ward/Chavez @ 168 with STevnson/Kovalev @ 175 on ppv. GGG and Froch @ 168 on WCB. Assuming GGG wins, the next fight should be ward and GGG on PPV.

No reason Nov 2014 this fight can't happen.
