    He's right.

And when did GGG become an Andre Ward problem and not a Sergio Martinez problem? These guys don't even fight in the same division yet.

the same people whoa re going to enter this thread saying "Ward ducked golovkin" are teh guys who would give him crap for "picking on a middleweight."

it's europeans, and they're still sore over the thundering ward put on froch and kessler. the kessler fight was almost five years ago.

ward - golovkin is very blatantly being built as a PPV fight on HBO. that's the only way that ward will get paid enough to take the fight.

HBO likely cannot pay golovkin and ward for a championship boxing card. it's too costly of a fight. even if their budget allows for it, they won't make any money, or have enough left for the rest of the year's fights on HBO.

I said they will be working behind the scenes to have voters choose GGG over Stevenson.

HBO had their top boxing voice put GGG in the top 5 p4p (laughable), acts as if he is the premiere MW in the world (Sergio), wouldn't approve a guy who called him out while simultaneously marketing him as "the most avoided fighter in the world", and had their top boxing voice, on air, tell us as fans that ward/ggg is not a fight thats good right now.

Yes, they are giving him a push, elevating him before he earned it, and are protecting their investment in him. Put them in the ring together.

Yeah it does not make sense to make the fight now really. Golovkin needs to establish himself as "The Man" at middle first, otherwise it is a high risk low reward fight for Andre and GGG

Andre needs some big fights, but since he already beat everyone at 168, it will be hard for him right now. I know he wants to chase the Green, but he will not get it at Lt Heavy either since the dust has not settled there yet and the current players there have their own mixing and matching to do first.

You've read this wrong. Ward will fight anyone (check his record), it's just he wants to fight on PPV and Golovkin isn't there yet.

Golovkin is already doing bigger ratings than Sergio on HBO. Sergio's fights have done around a million over the past few years, with the Murray fight slipping below that to 750k.

GGG did a million plus for the Mackln fight, and 1.5m for Stevens. He keeps going like this and he almost certainly would be the A-side against Ward.
If this is true then your absolutely right.

I'm entitled to my opinion fam that's the beauty of a forum..you don't have to agree nor do I need you to but i'm not delusional enough to think Ward walks through GGG at any point of their careers...GGG ain't no Dawson or Rodriguez.

Everyone is willing to fight anyone while on the come up...all of that changes when your paydays get bigger and bigger..same with Sergio Martinez he fought anyone and then took some easy paydays before the Chavez fight and there after. It's part of the game we've all come to expect. But I respect your opinion whether you agree with me or not.

of course why would Ward want to fight Golovkin when he's getting paid millions to take on the Edwin Rodriguez' of the world

What does he mean down the line?Last time I checked there was literally nobody left for him to beat at super middle.....so either he persuades GGG to come up in weight or he moves up and takes on the Kovalev,Stevenson, and Pascals of the world.Funny he can mention Chavez as a plausible opponent, and hype him up even when he looks like crap, but in the same breath downplay a potential Golovkin match up.
