Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Dares Tyson Fury: I'm The Real King Kong!

Earlier today BoxingScene.com reported that David Haye has been advised to retire because of a shoulder injury. Haye had been scheduled to face Tyson Fury on February 8th in the UK. Fury will still fight on the date and his trainer and uncle Peter Fury said that he would like his nephew face Bermane Stiverne, Deontay Wilder or Chris Arreola.

After hearing the news, BoxingScene.com spoke to heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz (19-0), who is ranked #2 by the WBA, and his manager Jay Jimenez who said that they would love the opportunity to step in and face Fury in February.

Ortiz has has fed off a steady dose of weak opposition. he fought better journeymen in his first few fights then he has the past couple of years. his career has stalled. I think he has changed promoters a few times. nobody knows who he is. he is a big southpaw but I want to see him fight someone who can punch back... he is already #2 in the WBA. let's see him fight deontay wilder. both guys with something to prove...
