Something that we fans will never understand is what it's like to be a fighter. The life for some (Mayweather) can bring riches and fame, for some (Chavez Jr) the heritage of a legendary father, for some (Pacman) the power and respect of an entire nation that's bigger than its president. However with all of that comes stress, pressure, lonely camps, etc. Then for some others who don't reach those levels or have those connections, comes extra hard work, limited success, failure, disappointment, among other things.

So with all of that, one thing that remains is that these guys are still human and there are aspects to their character that we don't know or see off camera and out of the ring in a casual environment. Just because Chavez Jr. is somewhat despised for various reasons in the Boxing world, that doesn't mean he couldn't be a cool dude to chill with at a fight.

Some don't like Freddy Roach for whatever reasons and say he just got lucky with Pacman and isn't really a good trainer. Go watch some YouTube training with Freddy Roach videos and see why he's effective. But also that he seems like a very cool and competent guy.

It's nice to see sportsmanship and the humane aspect of these fighters off cameras. Sometimes we can be a little barbaric and simply look at them as modern day gladiators whose lives are expendable.

Irony is one of the Jr. surpassed his daddy, while the other shames/thrashes his fathers name.
