    Makes no sense.
I don't see how anyone could look or even post past this post. Floyd would beat this guy and that guy, however he was not confident enough in himself to fight Canelo Alvarez at 154. That says more than any Floyd fanboy on boxingscene ever could.

Forgetting about size for a minute, Golovkin actually does have a lot of the tools that are needed to compete with Mayweather. He's got a superb jab, he is very, very good at cutting off the ring, and he can mix up head and body shots in his combinations with accuracy and force.

That's the kind of toolkit that gives a guy a shot against Floyd. Anyone who goes in there with anything less than a top class jab is just wasting their time. The most depressing thing in a Floyd is when you watch the first round and the opponent is trying to trade with Floyd and land big shots in open country. You know he just has no chance whatsoever. Unless you're talking about a guy with freakish hand speed he probably won't even land a clean shot.

The toolkit Golovkin has would give a guy a shot because they can at least exert some control over Floyd's movement and score when they back him up. Most guys aren't even capable of doing that. They get Floyd against the ropes and smother themselves, or wear themselves out beating in his arms.

An accurate and intelligent combination puncher who goes up and down the body will score against Floyd in those situations. And a guy with a good jab who can cut the ring off will get him into them. There's more to it than that of course but it's a damn good start.

You can't cover up on the ropes rolling and taking shots on arms and shoulders cause even shots on your arms hurt like hell. You land a clean shot on him and it doesn't do shit then you take one on the gloves and it rocks you backwards. the fight is not gonna happen anyway. floyd knows he's got no chance at 160 and he prob wouldn't fight him at 154 either ... GGG may just about be able to make that (I have my doubts) but if floyd wouldn't fight Canelo at 154 there is no way he'll fight GGG there and I can't see GGG being able to make 152 without being a walking skeleton.
THIS!!!!! I spar bigger guys all the time and sometimes I hit a wall where I feel the other guy is too big and powerful that even if I block his punch it moves me to where I can't get off a counter. That would happen if mayweather and golovkin fight.

Golovkin would have literally no chance against Floyd at 154 because he would be weight-drained. Remember Ward vs Dawson? That's what would happen to Golovkin if he had to go down to 154, he has to my knowledge never fought at 154 as a pro. He would get completely destroyed by Floyd and probably beaten by a lot of lesser fighters too, purely because he was weight-drained.

My reasons for this opinion are simple: I don't believe Golovkins competition has been all that stiff. Knocking out Gabe Rosado and Matthew Macklin doesn't mean you are capable of beating the most skilled fighter in the world. GGG also hasn't faced anybody who can move and counter as well as Floyd. He would spend the whole night chasing Floyd around the ring looking for the perfect shot while never finding the opportunity to land one. I just don't see any flat footed, come forward, power puncher being able to stop Mayweather. You also have to take into account that Golovkin would be moving down in weight and might lose a bit of punching power due to being weight drained.

I believe Floyd's speed, skill, ring generalship, experience, and counter punching ability will win him the day.
fine, gayweather wins another fantasy fight, just like he KOed Pacman lol
he doesn't need to fight anybody, he already KOed them fantasy style

I think he'd be biting more off than he can chew fighting at middleweight to be honest.

IVe read from somewhere that GGG enters training camp at 167 lbs and that he's said he'd be able to make 152 for Floyd. If that's true than he's a possible answer to Floyd's reign of dominance

Chris Arreola would say he'll make 152 if it meant a Floyd payday.

Go by the statistics and data. I predicted that Dawson would get stopped by Ward because he was weight drained. Look what happened. And that was a fighter who had previously fought at 168 as a pro. Golovkin has never fought at 154 as a pro, at that weight he would be Floyd's easiest fight in the last 10 years.

floyd is not going back up at 154...don't know why his fanboys want him to fight bigger guys when floyd is not even interested.
