You might not be blaming him, but you're certainly using it as a way of discrediting him - you wouldn't have even brought it up otherwise. And he funny thing is, Rodriguez didn't even have to make 168; he showed up two pounds above the weight and didn't even attempt to make the weight on the second attempt.

HBO have a good thing going with GGG, why ruin it by matching him against Ward? They know better than that. If any fight is to pop off at 168, I think it'd be GGG/Chavez.Comment

I have to own up to my Ward dislike...I will not show him respect until he sacrifices to take on the best just like other greats on the p4p list have done. Pac, Mayweather, Bradley, JMM, Martinez....all of these guys in and around the same level of P4P ranking have stepped out of their comfort zone andmoved up in weight to prove how good they were. Ward is looking for a fight with MW's (Chavez and Golovkin)Comment

Triple G is OPEN to the WORLD !!!!!!!! Does everyone understand the meaning of that ? Triple G's Team along with GGG has made the claim that they are ready to fight anyone from 154 to 168, that includes May Jr and Andre WARD.
Its not gonna be GGG's style to act like May Jr the Mouthy fool and go to challenging fighters,
so
Ward is beating around the nice bush. He wants to hear GGG call him out ???
GGG's trainer might do that.
GGG needs to fight Sergio , hopefully Sergio will heal and that fight will be made and after GGG destroys Serg and Dibellas hope, then if Quillin is not hiding he can be KO'd too
then
Look North to WARD.
Ward looked great last nite, the other guy looked terrible , wide amateur shots. GGG would have KO'd this guy, my question with all the power shots Ward landed, why didn't WARD KO this GUY ????????
GGG has nothing to worry about when wondering if WARD could KO GGG, WARD will have to worry about being KO'dComment

I was always a fan of Hopkins but he truly gained my respect and admiration for what he has accomplished at LHW, especially in the last couple of years given his age. When a guy like Ward is being touted as one of the greatest boxers in the world today, and possibly of the last 30 years, you are held to a higher standard.
I've never really seen Ward sacrifice like his peers have to make fights happen. I understand he sacrifices plenty in his training and preparations but I'm looking at it from the point of sacrificing to make the best fights happen. Part of the reason I'm so hard on the guy is so many people always talk about how good he is yet I see so many other fighters making moves to prove they are the best by looking for the challenges....Ward wants the challenges to look and come to him.
As for Ward, I feel the move to light heavy is long overdue. The guys he's alreeady beaten are still his top contenders and no new legitimate th**** are emerging. Plus, he won his olympic gold at light heavy. So I really don't understand the hesitation to make the move. I was pretty critical of Ward bringing dawson down initially. But, my stance on that has softened. Much like ellerbe said of bringing canelo down. If the opponent makes the offer, why not hold him to it? Yes, it would have made the Dawson fight a lil more meaningful. But Dawson is the one that shot his mouth off. So you can't be too critical of Ward for holding him to it.Comment

I'd give Ward plenty of credit if he moved up to 175 and beat Stevenson or Kovalev. I don't see either of those fights happening though more likely a request to have Kovalev move down to 168 if he wants the fight.Comment
