Pretty much a win/win situation for Cotto. Even if he gets his ass whooped like he usually does when he steps up.Comment

Of course he's not, Margarito is the most 1 dimensional fighter ever, he blocks punches with his face, no technique at all, just brute force, at least Canelo has technique, of course if you don't know boxing you won't appreciate it, Canelo ain't the elite boxer, but almost everyone turned they back on him when he lost to Floyd, an all time great. so sad. Kid's got skills and he'll be back believe me, he aint no Chavez Jr. bum.Comment

I think Cotto may take the Sergio fight for less money because he has more of a chance to beat Sergio at this stage and can demand the for a Canelo fight. But if he wants a Mayweather rematch he will fight Canelo since fighting in June would be a quick turn around for a September fight.Comment

i see no reason why cotto shouldnt take this fight. 10 mil sounds pretty good. plus he can always fight martinez later in the year. i say go for the more expensive and available opponent. plus the whole mexico vs. puerto rico angle will go well with the promotion.Comment

becuase he beat the same man that beat Cotto last!
A few of you are borderline brain dead. I'm not a Canelo fan, however,
1) This "hype job" has a much more impressive resume at the age of 23 than did your "future hall of famer." (Joe Perez, Cesar Bazan, etc).
2) This "hype job" beat the very same champion that beat your "hall of famer." recently.
3) "hype job" 23 vs "Hall of famer" 23 = victory "hype job" 23
"hype job" 23 vs "Hall of famer" now = victory "hype job" 23
The only thing we're not sure of, is who would win prime "hype job" vs prime "hall of famer" becasue teh "hype job" is about 3 or 4 years from his prime.
I"m not a canelo fan, but even worse, is how delusional a few PR fans have become. I know tough times on the championless island, but it dosn't excuse you from acting completely ******ed!!!
*This is not intended for the real PR fight fans, keep doing your thing!!!Comment
