If I was Cotto I go for Martinez because is an opportunity you cant pass up. You get that 4th division title and back on the P4P list. He will have Mayweather sucking his balls to get a rematch and a Canelo fight will be bigger.

Either way Cotto gets the money now or later so I go for Martinez.

Canelo is the bigger money fight, if he fought Martinez, depending on how he does the amount could either go up or down. I'd go for the big money fight and deal with the smaller deal afterwards

If a young undefeated Cotto couldn't keep Margarito off of him, how can he keep Alvarez off. He will look good for the first two rounds, then he will begin to fall apart and so will his family watching.

Alvarez is nothing like Margarito. Fans foolishly expected him to fight like El Tornado de Tijuana when Canelo fought Mayweather. Mexicans were disappointed. Prime Margs would have brutalized the ginger kid worse than Cotto.

Um yeah but handwrap scandal aside, Canelo lacks the volume punching and great stamina that made margarito the winner.

Why does the Delvin fight mean anything?

Both fights have their upsides, and honestly it's hard for me to say who Cotto would have the better chance against simply because we have no idea how Sergio will look. Either way, he's gonna end his career with some nice money which is always a good thing.
