Do you mean Warren? I don't think Matchroom were ever interested because they've got Joshua.

      This ^.

Hearn and Sky seem to have a long-term strategy. They wouldn't want to invest time and money hyping up a glass-jawed, euro-level fighter.

        lol...

This is a stable that actively promotes Gavin Rees, Audley Harrison, Crolla, McCluskey etc.

A heavyweight is a heavyweight - if he sells 5-10k tickets every 4 months, they would want to promote him.

I wish david price all the best - unfortunately I don't see him going far, no matter which promoter he chooses. I don't think he will mentally recover from the two losses.

              They're just filler.

I'm sure Matchroom expressed interest, but I doubt they'll be disappointed by the news.

Nobody that sells between 5 and 10k can be classified as fillers.

It's hard to make any sort of money in boxing, especially in the UK, so if a hw comes along you do your best to grab him. Not like they were gunning for Joshua obviously, but I'm sure they wanted him.

As long as the Chisora fight takes place for British, EBU & Commonwealth titles I'm happy!!

big punching HWs will always be given another chance. he lost to a top 10 HW in the world in his 15th & 16th fight. hardly worth writing him off yet. sauerland will get him a few big fights. I doubt he carries on with the british & commonwealth belts. i'm very interested on how he gets matched now...
