always thought this fight would come off but for whatever reason, it didn't...nunn had all the talent plus was a southpaw, but imo he lacked the discipline and the drive to stay on top, especially after the kalambay ko...toney was able to expose that...
jones couldn't afford to take a chance fighting dude back then, cause he probably wasn't sure which nunn would show up...nunn was that good at one time...
if i had to pick now i'd have to go with roy late tko or ud, based on beating slightly better comp, staying on top of the game as long as he did, and nobody being able to solve his riddle of a style back then...plus rj was more of a finisher back then...this was before he got spooked by that knockdown that del valle got on him...Last edited by djtmal; 11-15-2013, 09:29 PM.Comment

A fact that is over looked because of the ko later on but Nunn would have been trouble to deal with due to his height and excellent jab.ummm,, did you even watch nunn-toney
nunn dominated that fight, and it was fat slow toney,, it was a young hungry toney, that got outboxed till about the 9th round,,,,
Nunn's jab would bother roy, much like montel griffin's double jab bothered roy in the first fightComment
