James Toney ROBBED last night against Gavern

Toney was robbed in a 3-rounder last night against Gavern during the Prizefighter tournament in the UK.. He won all 3 rounds clearly but Gavern was entertaining the crowd shouting "woooo" during the fight and it somehow swayed some of the judges to inexplicably give him rounds.

Gavern even suckerpunched Toney in the 3rd round when Toney was extending his arm to touch gloves, but he lost balance and fell to the floor after his punch rebounded off of Toney's jaw.

Toney was by far the superior boxer, landed many more cleaner shots in first two rounds, the third round was the closest, but Toney clearly won that fight overall. There's no question in my mind. That was a robbery of the highest order.

Toney clearly won the first two rounds, but tired in the 3rd.

I was pretty p*ssed off with the decision tbh, it was poor. They gave it to Gavern because of his 'woooo' nonsense.

I am a massive Toney fan, he is probably my favorite fighter ever, him or Spaddy.

That being said, I had Toney winning, he took the first 2, but there was room for either fighter. It was pretty even, I had him winning all three rounds but I could see where they went with Gavern. He didnt do enough to win, no one to blame but himself. Maybe Gavern playing to the crowd helped his cause, I figured they were going to let Toney win no matter what because of who he is.

I wish he won, but thats life. He will be back, he will fight again, and honestly I can't blame him he looked alright in there, if it was a 10 or 12 rounder, hell even 8 he would have taken it.

It was a close fight due to the work-rate difference, Toney just did the cleaner work and should have won.

I like Toney, but honestly I think it's better this way. He really looked tired in the second fight. I would hate to see him down or badly beaten by some bum. If he gone into finals he might have find himself in trouble (as he was totally gassed out).
