Ward a big star? I think you're confusing P4P with popularity.

Outside of that guy being wrong about Ward being a star, pfp is just a popularity contest. It's not supposed to be, but it is. For example, there aren't more than 3 fighters in the sport today that anyone with fairly average boxing knowledge can legitimately say is better than Rigo, regardless of size.

But you can find the usual suspects talking about how boring he is and having fighters like Pacman or Broner rated higher. You can call Ward, Floyd, B-hop and Rigo as boring as you wanna, doesn't make the exciting popular guy better pfp. (Floyd not included in the last sentence as he is popular, everything else applies though).

P4P is overrated as hell any way you slice it. I wish it were done away with completely so maybe fighters can stop jumping around weight classes cherry picking fighters and just settle into one weight class and focus on dominating it.

You're right about the popularity thing. And that's exactly what the RING is doing with their rankings. Just trying to generate hype behind these guys that don't belong there.

              Exactly.
Ward admitted only recently that he had the right shoulder problem since he was 12-13 of age.

                I'm not confusing anything.
Please try and explain Ward that he isn't a "big star".

anyone fighting ward should insist on severe PED testing. we are to believe that one armed ward threw around froch like a rag doll. I believe froch was the strongest man in his division. the injury ward got can be traced to PEDs and how can he fight at top level with such an injury?

Big star can fight anywhere and generate numbers. Ward can only do numbers in his hometown.

Your standards for a "big star" must be pretty low if you think he's a big star.
