All I can tell you is that he is training like an animal when I have seen him at the gym. I saw the weights he was pushing.... inhumanly strong for a guy his size, and he sure beat the hell out of the sparring partners. More than anything... I was impressed with his candor in speaking on his career, losses, and boxing in general. No excuses. Only he knows the truth, but it didn't come across as bs or false bravado!

            is that you, kermit?

if cintron has complately overhauled his body at his age there's only one thing that could be responsible: drugs.

i tend to think you're exaggerating. cintron has been damaged goods since the margarito fights.

I liked Kermit, but every fight since Williams, he just doesn't look like he wants to be in the ring. Like, he doesn't even put any muster on any of his shots. This guy could crack, but it disappeared all of a sudden. The Kermit I know KO'd Walter Matthysse all the way to the moon, and had a decent enough boxing ability to keep Angulo off him for 12 rounds for a convincing decision.

I used to be a big fan of Cintron but lately it seems like he doesn't commit to his punches and he's just there for a payday. There is no excitement in his fights anymore.

any boxer / puncher can do that to angulo, though. he's proven to be an extremely limited fighter, and he's done next to nothing with his chin or power.

cintron had a huge right hand (good left hook, too,) big shoulders / reach, and good athletic quality. he started boxing way too late to be anything special.
