In recent interviews, it just looks to me like even he doesn't believe his own words, like he's just going thru the motions to hopefully get one last big paycheck at a title shot, then go away. He obviously will never beat Wlad, would lose to Wilder or Chambers or Stiverne or any top HW. He's old, too small and slow to beat the bigger top HWs. To me, even with his supposed positive attitude (which looks fake IMO), it just seems like a dead end.
