He is defending a world title for the 14th time.. you need to count the fights where there are two world titles as defenses of separate belts. So when he is defending 2 world titles in one fight it's counted as 2 "world title fights" not 1 world title fight.. That's what he means when he says 14th time..

Love him or hate him. Froch is one of the best trashtalkers in the game. I got The cobra via TKO in the 9th round.Comment

Gotten to!!Carl Froch insists he has no retirement plans as he prepares for another world title clash against George Groves on November 23.
The 36-year-old is a three-time world champion and will put his WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles on the line against Groves in Manchester, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Froch admitted he would have quit the sport if he had been beaten by Lucian Bute last year, but looked better than ever in a devastating fifth-round stoppage win.
The Nottingham man pounded out a points victory over Mikkel Kessler in their rematch in May and insists his rivals can forget about him hanging up his gloves in the near future.
When asked about how long his career would continue, Froch told Sky Sports News: "As long as I can, there's no time frame on it.

Fighters need to learn that basing their entire game plan around their opponents weaknesses and landing that "one punch" is a silly, silly move. He did exactly this with Ward and see how that turned out...Comment

It was a decent show. A fair bit of tension between the 4 fighters, although Murray and Macklin clearly do not have much time for each other. It just aired last night so hopefully someone will upload it, otherwise I'm sure it will be on youtube soon. I'll post a link if I come across one.Comment

I must be the only one who believes Groves can come out of this victorious.
Groves will know that he cannot stand and trade with Froch. He'll need movement and to stay on the outside and box. He's shown he can counter punch and stick to a game plan in the Degale fight. He does have some pop and is pretty fast.
Froch does tire and becomes pretty slow and predictable. The only way Groves will lose this is if he stands, exchanges and lets his ego take over.Comment
