Does anybody else still have faith in Korobov?

Seriously... he's wasting away here. Dude has been more active as of lately, but has nothing to show for it! He hasn't even fought in a 10 rounder yet and his quality of opposition needs to go up.

He still has a chance to step up next year, but his time's winding down.
I hope what I think will happen will actually happen and he fights the winner of Macklin/Nelson to finally get himself out there.

Actually, what would be even cooler is if he fought Murray in Monaco... that'd be even better. That'd be a true build up fight.

If him and Pirog could actually get on their feet for 2014, things would start getting interesting.
Pirog might not be back though. The injury is pretty serious and when he got hurt again in Feb, heard he could retire from it

Korobov's time is most likely done due to his inactivity. He has been kept on the shelf far too long and is yet to face a credible opponent in his career.

He obviously needs to fight and be matched with decent opposition to gauge his current level.

Yea...like I said, he has yet to taste a 10 rounder too.

            My dream scenarios are

            1) He fights the Macklin/Nelson winner
            2) He fights Murray in Feb

I still have some faith in him if only because the guy is so obviously well-schooled and has some pretty decent athletic skill. But I agree, he has to make a move now. I saw a number of his early fights in person (back in 2008-2010), and I'm not sure he's progressed much, to be frank. I thought for sure ol' Matvey would be in the mix at 160 by now. Discouraging.

I know I'm blaming Arum, but I had heard that it was his father who wanted to move him slower through the pro ranks

Seem like good fights to make but can't see Macklin (if he were to win) or Murray take on Korobov. Both fighters would be looking at making a charge towards a title shot and I figure Korobov is not currently ranked.

Both men no doubt looking at Barker... but he has to fight Sturm, then if he loses rematch sturm. If he wins, I think he's obligated to fight Geale again.
