Miguel Angel Garcia is good. Real Good.

So good that people in boxing do not refer to him as a prospect anymore. They refer to him as a future force to be reckoned with at the super featherweight limit.

Could he eventually go up to lightweight and fight the top fighters there?

Possible and eventually. For now, let us see what he could do against formidable opposition in the 130-pound weight class.

That will start tonight when he faces Roman “Rocky” Martinez in a scheduled 12 round bout at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX. Garcia will be gunning for a second world title when he faces Martinez that will be televised live on HBO. The telecast will begin at 9:30PM ET/ 6:30 PM. [Click Here To Read More]

He should stick to 130 or even move up Garcia camp tries too hard to keep that weight/size advantage both Rios and Mikey have scared me the most in how they looked in their 2 day HBO thing, they looked straight up like zombies i thought i tuned in to walking dead by accident.

I will respect him the day he fights Gamboa.

I think at 130lb Gamboa should be considered #1.

If Mickey doesn't fight Gamboa in the near future, we will know that he's a scared duck and may not really be all he's cracked up to be.

Gamboa? Come on now. Ever since the roids scandal, Gamboa has looked average with just hints of his past self. Mikey outboxes him and wins via UD. If it was against 2008-9 version of Gamboa, I would have hands down picked Gamboa.

Hope Mikey cleans each division in steps. Follow Money Floyd's pattern and endure long career. No one @ 130 has your skill set anyway Mikey! Follow your spirituality & dont be over zealous. Dont chase but be chased & fight on your terms. No compromise, thats what Senior always spoke into Floyd & look at him now. Youve got to go THRU to get TO!!
