Violations of "Ali Act" Floyd Mayweather

Recently Floyd Mayweather said that he will only fight Manny Pacquiao if he signs with TMT Promotions and gives him 5 fights under his banner. There was a recent article, "Stiverne Sues Don King, Claims Violation of Ali Act" by David P. Greisman. Wouldn't Floyd be in violation of the Ali Act also since "it prohibits a promoter (TMT, Ellerbe), from requiring a boxer (Pacquiao) to sign an exclusive promotional agreement as a precondition to obtaining a bout agreement with another boxer (Floyd Mayweather) signed by the same promoter(TMT). Seems like Floyd knows he can't violate the Ali Act....so one has to wonder if Floyd is really scared to fight Pacquiao. Why all the fuss in fighting a "has been"? Read between the lines....Mayweather is a coward.

Heavyweight contender Bermane Stiverne has sued promoter Don King over what he alleges are violations of the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act, according to reports by Courthouse News Service and Zach Arnold of FightOpinion.com. The allegations date back to when Stiverne was meeting with King to sign for a June 2011 fight with Ray Austin, a bout that had been mandated by the World Boxing Council. “When he arrived at the meeting, however, Stiverne was informed that he would not be permitted to sign the bout agreement with Austin unless he first signed an exclusive promotional agreement with DKP [Don King Productions],” Arnold quoted the lawsuit as saying.

First he asked for ******ed tests to duck Pacquiao.

Then he said he would only fight him if Pacquiao took $40Mill flat and Mayweather took all of the PPV revenue which would make him around $100M

Then he said he had to actually sign to TMT and give him 5 fights

Fraud will ALWAYS find an excuse to not fight Pacquiao or block the fight from happening

No, that only applies for sanctioning body mandatory fights.

I didn't know that but I didn't get that from the article on the "Ali Act", just putting some critical thinking on the subject. But somehow it shows how outlandish the bravado of TMT has become over one opponent. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a lawyer. But just want to bring an oppinion and an open discussion on the fight and how easy it can be made if they both REALLY did want it.

As far as I'm concerned I don't take anything Floyd or his camp say about Manny seriously or anything Manny and his camp say about Floyd. They take pot shots at each other and use the other's name and can't work it out. It's boring and I've moved on.

But it's still the fight we all want to see. Most of us. Just wondering what your thoughts on the "Ali Act" and what Floyd is doing.

I hope not. Both the fighters are the biggest PPV stars this current era and the most exciting, including Mayweather . What is stopping the fight? Both are rich both are talented. Both are still considered the biggest draw. Why not let the best fight the best. Still would be a legendary fight no matter who wins. Either of them have only a few fights left before this dream match is gone and done due to ... i dunno.... ducking?

It doesn't surprise me that floyd would violate the Ali act. I doubt hes ever read a contract in his life which is why Al Haymon has him on allowance and he has no endorsements
